Facial Asymmetry

Facial Asymmetry is a condition where one side of the face differs from the other in jaw position, bone size, or muscle shape. While minor differences are common, noticeable asymmetry can affect appearance, chewing, and speech. Treatment varies depending on the cause and may include orthodontics or jaw surgery to restore facial balance and improve function and aesthetics.

Facial Asymmetry

Facial Asymmetry

Before Surgery: A 20-year-old girl came to me feeling something was off with her face. She only took photos from one angle and avoided smiling. She said, “It’s not just looks… I feel people stare, and I lost my confidence.” After Surgery: We corrected her jaw and facial asymmetry. Months later, she came back glowing. She said, “For the first time, I feel comfortable in the mirror… I can smile freely now.” That was our biggest success.

Class II

She always felt her mouth looked unbeautiful . Every time she smiled, someone would say, “Do you have buck teeth?”—a word that stuck with her for years. She started avoiding mirrors, feeling her jaw shape affected her life and confidence. She finally had Class II orthognathic surgery. After recovery, she told me, “I finally feel at peace with myself… now I smile without thinking twice.”

Cleft lip and palate

Cleft lip and palate

I always felt something was wrong with my face — I was born with a **cleft lip and palate**. People’s comments hurt, so I avoided photos and covered my mouth when speaking. It wasn’t just about looks — I felt everyone was staring. I decided to have surgery, and Dr. Ahmed El-Far worked hard to achieve this result. The hardest moment was seeing myself after recovery. My sound didn’t change, I smiled and said, “This is me.” My confidence and my life came back.
